The Black Woods are located in French Auvergne, about 50 km from Clermont Ferrand, in a mountainous area with a lot of hidden places. Ayguebonne Forest is inside the black woods, it's a remote place difficult to find with an inner circle at its top opening to a wide view to the country. Credogne river flows deeply in the woods for kilometers between the trees, one can find at least two waterfalls hidden not far from a very narrow road. There are many secret places in this area, like the Bloodstone... At the very beginning of spring, many trees are really spectral as you can see on the gallery. These places give a strong feeling of isolation...
