Facebook Rootmusic application
I really prefer rootmusic "bandpage" solution because of it’s relatively non intrusive in the facebook context. For example, the reverbnation solution provides a ton of links and clickable areas all leading to reverbnation’s site, which may be not of great interest for the average facebook user. I also find the rootmusic page very sober and elegant, without bells and whistles which hurt the eyes...
Setting such a page is pretty simple :
- Create a soundcloud account, it’s free
- Create a rootmusic account, and indicate the soundcloud account you’ve just created, then connect your facebook page to the rootmusic account, it’s very simple.
- On your facebook page, click edit, then manage permissions, then locate the « default landing tab » menu, and select BandPage. You’re done, people will land on the root music tab.
You can use the listn.to address rootmusic provides to link to your page in order for people to land on the rootmusic tab, even if they already have put a like on this page this way . You will find this URL on rootmusic’s help page.
